Climbing for Christ : Mission: Philippines 2010

Mission: Philippines 2010

Dates: Feb. 20-28, 2010.

Purpose: Trekking to and serving the people living in the rugged Cordillera mountains in the Kibungan municipality in the province of Benguet on the northern island of Luzon. The mountains of Kibungan offer deep ravines and rocky cliffs, leading to incredible rice terraces in remote villages such as Tacadang, Palina, and Poblacion. Climbing For Christ Philippines has been ministering in this area since August 2008. One of the area’s points of interest is the magnificent Les-eng Rice Terraces (photo above). It is a 6-to-8-hour trek from the village of Kibungan to Tacadang and then another two hours to Les-eng.

Cost: U.S. $500, excluding airfare to Manila. Costs include transportation, food and hotel accomodations in Manila, round-trip transportation to Kibungan, and food for the trek.

For more information: Read the Mission: Philippines Dispatches and Trip Report, and visit the Photo Page.

E-mail: Info@ClimbingForChrist.org with questions or to request an application for Mission: Philippines. Applicants must be members of Climbing For Christ (CLICK HERE for the free C4C membership).
